It’s 2004 somewhere in the world
My sister is currently doing a tour of duty in the motherland. There’s not much to do other than get brow-beaten by relatives for being a fat spinster, shop and get addicted to heroin/benzodiazepines. Oh, and hit the beach.
Sis has chosen the shopping/beaching route (good girl!). I am informed that the hottest trends in Kuwait (where the temps are 75 degrees…in February) are:
1) Gaucho pants
2) Uggs
Who says that American (or USian, as the correct parlance seems to be in certain circles) culture has nothing to offer to the world?
